Richer nations called to do more for climate change

France’s energy and environment minister Segolene Royal said the fate of the United Nations global warming talks hinges on the willingness of richer countries to pay poorer ones more for climate-related projects. “The biggest challenge is finance because poorer countries have to believe that an agreement is a real agreement,” Royal said in an interview with Bloomberg’s Caroline Connan.
