De Tham and Bui Vien streets, dubbed as the backpackers’ area in Ho Chi Minh City, have long been known as one of the most crowded and exciting streets in the city’s downtown.

On the New Year’s Eve, the area got even more crowded and fun. Foreign tourists flocked to the street, singing and dancing, with bottles of beer and wine in their hands.

They were ready to say “Happy New Year!” to anyone they see on the street.
