Authorities in the southern province of Tay Ninh near Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday fined a Chinese man VND20 million (US$941) for attempting to pick a Vietnamese bride via illegal brokering services, Vietnam News Agency reported.
Wei Ji Jun, a 28-year-old farmer from China’s Jilin Province, allegedly came to Tay Ninh to see some Vietnamese women in a meeting organized by Vietnamese and Chinese marriage brokers.
