Vietnam posts highest GDP growth in five years: report

Vietnam's gross domestic product grew 6.28 percent over the first six months, the highest rate since 2010, news website quoted the General Statistics Office of Vietnam as saying on Friday.
The sector of manufacturing made the largest contribution at 1 percent, followed by sales, retailing, automotive repairing and mining, Ha Quang Tuyen, a senior official with the office, said.
In a survey done by the office, nearly 50 percent of 3,389 interviewed manufacturing businesses believed their sector's situation will become better in Q3.
Vietnam aimed to achieve GDP growth rate of 6.2 percent this year.
