By Thanh Nien News -
German singers Almut Seebeck and Felicitas Weyer will take the stage in Ho Chi Minh City Friday evening as the start of their first tour in the southern metro.
The duo's program, entitled "The Joy of My Life", will begin 8 p.m. at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1.
The particular stylistic device used by the two artists can be found in their name Trio A Due (Trio of Two): Two voices and one piano merge into a unique triad.

During their tour, the two musicians will conduct a workshop 3 p.m. at Erato School of Music and Performing Arts, 107 Ton Dat Tien Street, District 7 on Sunday, December 14.
The workshop, " Vitality - joie de vivre - energy", provides all participants to rehearse a variety of songs under the guidance of two musicians and sing together.
Registration for the workshop can be made through email at, or call (08) 5410 1717 or 0904 690 859.
The duo will also have another performance starting 8 p.m. at this school next Friday, December 19.
Admission to both concerts is free.
Founded in 1993, the duo consists of Dr Almut Seebeck as soprano and Felicitas Weyer as mezzo-soprano and pianist. The two met at Wurzburg University while Seebeck studied medicine and voice, and Weyer studied piano and lied (song) accompaniment.
Seebeck, moderator of the duo, says they actually play the role of three people (two voices and one pianist) on stage.
Trio A Due have performed all over Germany, singing works by von Bingen, Purcell, Handel, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak, Glass, Ives and even Burt Bacharach.
