FAFIM to import 100 Hollywood films in 2012

Ho Chi Minh City's FAFIM (Film Distribution and Screening Company) will import up to 100 features and 300 hours of TV series from leading American filmmakers and distributors like Universal, Warner Bros and Vision Films.

HCMC FAFIM director Nguyen Van Hong made this announcement when receiving Francisco J Sanchez, Under Secretary for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce, who paid a visit to his office on March 6.

Hong said HCMC FAFIM imported 120 features including 40 works from Hollywood last year.

The Vietnam National Film Distribution and Screening Company (FAFIM Vietnam) is responsible for subsidizing the production of Vietnamese films, exporting them overseas and for importing foreign films for screening in Vietnam.
